Blossom VoxBox

So, it's review time for the #BlossomVoxBox! There are a lot of products in this one. Very nice products. Some I've never heard of before and some old favorites.

First up is Beanitos. Beanitos are chips made of whole black beans instead of corn or wheat. The flavors I received were Chipotle BBQ and Original Black Bean with Sea Salt. They have almost a tortilla chip texture, but the flavor does not taste that far off from a regular chip. These chips are high in fiber, have 4 grams of complete protein, gluten-free, and are made from non-GMO ingredients. A bag of these chips will set you back around $3.49. Not bad for a healthy, protein-packed snack. You can check them out at their facebook or twitter using #AllThatInaBagOfChips.

The next product I have been testing is Hair Food Root Cleansing Shampoo by Clairol. I received the Root Cleansing Shampoo Infused with Strawberry Ginger Fragrance to sample. I'm still in the testing phase for this product. I don't ever want to say that this is a make or break hair product before I have tested it for a full seven days. That being said, I am on day four and have noticed a difference in my hair. My hair feels lighter and less oily. The frizz has also cut down. No lie, the strawberry ginger scent is amazing and last all day. My scalp feels...cool...I guess is the best way to word it. Almost, as if I washed my hair with mint. I have a before picture and will compare it when my test phase is fully completed. Hair Food is available at Target and costs $9.99. Hair Food does not have a facebook or twitter, but you can check out what other people of said by searching the hashtag #HairFood .

I received two bags of Bear Naked Granola to sample; Coconut Almond Curry and Sea Salt Caramel Apple. I only sampled the Coconut Almond Curry flavor as I am allergic to apples. My husband and two year old daughter tried the Sea Salt Caramel Apple and they loved it. My husband loves trail mixes and granola, so this was right up his ally. The two year old is going through the picky food stage, so for her to devour this means that it must be really delicious. I don't mind because Bear Naked Granola is made with natural flavors and has 4 grams of protein. The Coconut Almond Curry flavor that I tried, was not a hot curry. The coconut flavor did not overwhelm the whole mix. It is filling and gives a good amount of energy. Both of these flavors contain milk products and may contain peanuts or tree nuts (obviously the Coconut Almond Curry contains nuts). It costs $10.49 for a 12 oz. bag, right around $1.05 per serving. You can find out more at their facebook or twitter using the hashtag #LiveBearNaked #contest .

The next product is Nasoya Pasta Zero Noodles. You may know Nasoya for their tofu or wonton wrappers. Nasoya Pasta Zero Noodles are shirataki noodles. They absorb the flavors of what they are cooked in. When I first got the package I thought, "ewwwww, gross". The noodles are package in a fluid and it feels all squishy, but the after effect was delicious (and easy). I highly recommend rinsing the noodles thoroughly before cooking. You do not have to boil them like regular noodles, only parboil for about two minutes. They have 15 calories and 4 grams of carbs per serving.
This is what I made with my noodles. I used what I had on hand and needed to use: one quarter yellow onion, some spinach  and kale, two roma tomatoes, 6 slices of thin sliced turkey (for protien), and a little pepper. I cooked it all in one pan and the juices absorbed into the noodles. My two year old ate two helpings! They have a facebook where you can find recipes and other products. Nasoya also can be found at twitter #NasoyaPastaZero . A bag of this pasta will cost you $2.29.

I was really excited about this next product, NYC New York Color City Proof 24HR Eye Shadow in Tribeca Taupe. It costs $2.99.
The above is a swatch of what it looks like. It goes on very smoothly and even. It is a fat pencil style (twistable, no sharpener required) eye shadow. It has less mess than powder eye shadows and is waterproof. The product claims you can wear it for up to 24 hours with no creasing or smudging, I only wore it for about 12 before took it off for my nightly routine. I didn't have any smudges or creases during that time. This shade would go for a great smokey-eye look. This is their facebook and their twitter #NYCCityProof .

We have two more products left. I told you this was a big VoxBox!

The next product is a brand that most have heard of, Australian Gold.  This is their Australian Gold Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30. It has the typical good smelling Australian Gold scent coupled with 80 minutes of water-resistant skin protection. It is a broad spectrum sunscreen, meaning that it protects against UVA and UVB rays. It isn't oily and has vitamin C and antioxidants. You have to remember to apply every 2 hours or when you get done with a water or sweaty activity. It costs $7.99 for 8 oz. bottle. They have a facebook and a twitter #LivetheGoldLife #contest .

Finally, the last product: Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. First off, this product is a little pricey for me at $13.99. I'm not 100% sold on this product. Personally, I still love the Jergen's Natural Glow 3-day lotion. But for a instant fix this product is easily number 2. I'm still trying to figure out a better way to get it to go on evenly. It doesn't really have an overbearing odor. The shade I tested was medium. I guess a picture would be worth a thousand words in this case.
Please ignore my pasty whiteness. I don't get out much. Checkout their facebook and twitter #AirbrushPerfectLegs .

All opinions are my own. Remember, I received all of these products were complimentary for testing products from Influenster! @influenster #BlossomVoxBox

Geeze

I swear I can't catch a break. My Voxbox has arrived, so reviews will be soon. I don't have a picture of the girl's dresses yet because the eldest has strep and a double ear infection. Truthfully I didn't want her to get the dress stained with medicine and her getting sick. Sometimes things just get all wonky over here.Yes, I realize that there are worse problems in the world than strep throat, but this is her 8th case in her 2 years of life. We're facing the possibility of surgery and I hate that I have to stand by and watch my poor baby be sick and in pain.

I'll try to keep up with my blog while juggling the kids and going back to school. I've been out for 3 years and I'm nervous as can be to finally be finishing my degree. I'm afraid that my brain won't retain as much information as what it used to. I'm also getting a little sad knowing that people who graduated high school a year after me have graduated with their bachelor's degrees today. I feel discouraged that I won't be able to start my career for another year and a half. In the long scheme of things, it's not that much time but it seems like forever away.

Sorry about the rambles today.

I need a hug,
Peach

So we have a slight hiccup...

I was hoping to start sampling my new Voxbox this week but...... for some odd reason my package won't be delivered for another week! It's only six hours away from me, but it's going to take them a week to get here. NO storms in the forecast or anything. I'm guessing all the mail trucks broke down and all the mail personnel have taken the week off. I'm not really mad, I know that our mail people work very hard. I'm just confused as to why it will take a week to get the stuff here. I guess I'll be giving abbreviated reviews on some of the product, since I won't have the full time to get my reviews in.

In other news, I did make two Star Wars themed dresses for my littles. I'll have pictures up soon as seeing they'll be wearing them for the fourth. That's today! May the fourth be with you! I'm really going to do the cliche thing and have a Star Wars movie-a-thon, eat popcorn out of my stormtrooper bowl, and just generally annoy people with my quotes.

Have a great day everyone! I know I will.

Unlike TK-421, I have to be at my post (mommy duties call),

*cue music* "It's been awhile..."

Wow. I swear I did not forget about this blog or my lovely readers. In my one year hiatus my grammar has not improved one iota. So bare with me.

Let's see, where to start. I no longer live in sunny Florida (oh how I miss it). Baby number two has arrived into the world. She's currently only 2 months old. Beautiful just like her big sister. My social life has NOT improved. Ooh and I've started back nursing school. Which is a pretty big deal for me.

I haven't really received any major marketing material lately, aside from a small VoxBox from Influenster (I'll get to that in a bit) but I do have a major campaign coming up that I'm thrilled about! I did decide to try Bzzagent for a bit. While, yes you do receive more testing material more frequently than Influenster, I was tired of testing the same allergy medicine and toilet paper over and over again. You can only review the same product so many times. Plus, they are already well established brands, that no matter how critical the review is, the company isn't going to change. They haven't in the decades that they have been around.

Anywho....since having the second (and last) baby, I have blown up like a balloon. I've decided to take back my body with a little help from some Lipovite injections. I need a little jump start to get my weight under control so I can start back doing my heavier exercises. The injections are pretty much souped up B12 injections. Don't worry, I have fully researched this product and am under this program through the monitoring of my doctor. I receive blood work to make sure my vitamin levels are where they need to be. I do NOT recommend or endorse any weight loss program to be started with out the consent of your primary medical professional. But keep a look out as I will be posting and update at my one month mark, including some Before and Current pictures. Fingers crossed!

Now on to the @Influenster update I promised! I was recently chosen to try out some panty liners. I know, that's a weird thing to test. But trust me. I believe it is time to get some honest opinions out there. Women shouldn't be ashamed or feel awkward about purchasing or talking about their female products. The product I've been testing for a little over a week now has been Carefree Actifresh Pantiliners.

These liners wick away moisture and keep you dry all day. This is perfect since I've been exercising more lately. They are no-odor (no perfume to cause irritation) and don't bunch like other pads or liners. No more feeling like you are wearing a diaper! The liner's themselves come in little discrete packaging, that fits in a pocket or clutch or wherever with ease.

Carefree has actually been launching a special campaign to encourage women to embrace their fierce side. (Anyone getting a little Tyra vibe?) Check it out at: FreshIsFierce or their twitter with #FreshIsFierce and #Influenster to keep up with fellow reviewers.

I do have a picture up on my Instagram showing what you should look for in store. Hopefully the link will work. I'm trying to get that up and running, so that I can share pictures with you lovelies. Check it out here.

As always, the above mentioned Carefree product was for me to review. And since the FTC and all requires this, (although by now you should know where I get my freebies): "I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes."

Much love and rainbows,

Peach
